FAQ
Ok, let's not play games. There's no FAQ. For one thing, no one's asked anything because we just got here. Ask away in the comments section. Until then, make do with some basic info. And one real question. The real question first.
I have a pile of ephemera! Piles, really, piles and drawers and boxes. Will you buy my crap?
- Yes, I'll consider buying your crap. Use the Comments section to contact me with more info.
Grandma's Drawers aka AnnaLovesBooks.com?
Yes, I am both lazy and cheap. AnnaLovesBooks was already in existence when I decided (with prodding) that we needed a name that was more closely related to the purpose of the site. So GrandmasDrawers.com forwards to AnnaLovesBooks.com. If you register, you'll be registering with AnnaLovesBooks.com.
- I have a lot of items that may be of interest to someone. A LOT. It's all ephemera type stuff, rescued from the mad scissor-wielding scrapbooking junkies. They'd like to cut this stuff up and turn it into weird little art projects, but I'd like to keep it whole and maybe find its owners. Well... ok, I'm the owner. I'd like to find the original families and sell them back the priceless heirlooms they've lost. Except for the priceless part, because I assure you that I didn't get this stuff for free and I'm not giving it away for less than I paid.
- But I AM giving some stuff away. There will be all kinds of things that are not linked to a specific person or group of people and, without enough clues, I'm turning to the inter-webs to spread the word, contribute to the IDing and generally help reunite the Things with the People. Those things, they're free. I can hardly expect anyone to ID them when they're thumbnail sized! So they're big and zoomable and free. Please comment if you think you've got anything to add that might help someone else find their stuff.
